DECISION SUPPORT

Turn a headline total into a checkable scope

Two installation quotations can show the same total while covering different equipment, pipe lengths, electrical work, access, condensate drainage, commissioning and warranty support. Enter only the line items you are comfortable sharing. The analyser reconciles arithmetic and highlights questions; it does not upload or judge the original document.

Confirm the equipment identity

The quotation should name the indoor and outdoor units, quantities and model references. Ask whether mounting hardware, controls, isolators, pumps and decorative trunking are included. A capacity label alone is not enough to compare systems or warranties.

Make labour and extras visible

Record standard pipe allowance, additional pipe rate, core drilling, electrical supply, access equipment, parking, waste removal, commissioning and VAT. If an item is described as provisional, ask what evidence will turn it into a fixed amount.

Check responsibility after installation

Ask who registers the warranty, supplies commissioning records, explains controls and responds to defects. Refrigerant work must be completed by an appropriately qualified person. Grant-funded work can add scheme and installer requirements that must be verified separately.

Use the result in this order

  1. Reconcile subtotal, VAT, grant deduction and customer total.
  2. Compare exact equipment and included pipe or cable allowances.
  3. List provisional work and the rate or evidence used to price it.
  4. Request certification, commissioning, warranty and aftercare details in writing.

What the result cannot prove

The analyser cannot assess workmanship, site conditions, installer competence, planning permission, electrical design or grant eligibility. It is not a valuation and does not supply a regional market price. Obtain a site survey and verify credentials independently.
