My Home is a planning profile rather than an energy assessment. It keeps stable facts—such as tenure, property type, rooms and current heating—beside changeable assumptions such as tariff, comfort problem and proposed equipment. Connected tools can prefill those facts, but they never turn them into an automatic purchasing, grant or permission decision.
Record tenure, property form, postcode area, occupied rooms and current heating before adding conclusions. Dimensions, an EPC, bills, photographs and installer calculations are stronger evidence than a remembered floor area or generic property average. Mark unknown fields as unknown rather than guessing.
The same glazing, floor, insulation and room layout can affect overheating in summer and heat loss in winter. Saving one property profile reduces contradictory inputs while each calculator still shows its own formula, assumptions and limitations.
A tariff, grant rule or proposed system can change. Export the profile and record source dates for important evidence so an old scenario remains understandable. Recalculate deliberately when assumptions change; do not interpret a new benchmark as proof that the previous decision was wrong.
My Home does not verify an EPC, determine planning permission, assess eligibility, design a heating system or store live retailer prices. Browser data can be deleted by device settings. Optional sync encrypts a copy in the browser, but the user must retain the passphrase and a separate export.
