Our purpose
Cooling information is fragmented across manufacturer manuals, retailer listings, installer websites and energy guidance. CoolCompare organises those details into consistent specifications, transparent calculations and practical explanations.
We focus on the questions that change a decision: room capacity, noise, electrical input, ventilation, installation, permissions, source quality and total offer cost.
What independence means
Affiliate relationships may fund the site, but they do not guarantee inclusion, placement or a favourable conclusion. Sponsored positions must be visibly labelled.
We do not invent tests, customer reviews, stock, prices or verification badges. When data is incomplete, the page should say so rather than fill the gap with an unsupported claim.
Who the site is for
CoolCompare serves UK householders, tenants, landlords and small workplaces researching portable products or permanent systems. Calculator results are estimates and do not replace a professional heat-load or installation survey.
How a page earns publication
A product dossier needs an exact model identity, a dated source trail and the core fields required for a useful comparison. Guides need substantial original sections, independent source diversity and a current editorial review. Thin location templates, empty directories and incomplete catalogue records remain outside the search index until those conditions are met.
Calculations are labelled separately from manufacturer facts. We preserve the formula, tariff or ruleset version and explain where a room survey, installer design or official decision is still needed. Corrections are reviewed against evidence rather than accepted or rejected according to commercial value.
What CoolCompare is not
CoolCompare is not a retailer, installer, scheme administrator, planning authority or product-safety regulator. A comparison can organise evidence and expose missing questions, but the final seller, contract, property permission and professional design must be checked with the responsible organisation.
