Evidence before ranking
Product specifications come from manufacturer materials, authorised retailer data or a documented manual source. Every publishable product record has a source note and a last-verified date.
Commercial independence
Retailer commission does not guarantee inclusion or position. Editorial ratings, where used, are explained against a versioned methodology and are not presented as customer reviews.
Prices, stock and corrections
Prices and availability can change. We show the check time and known delivery charge beside an offer. Readers can submit corrections, which are reviewed before records change.
One identity before one comparison
We match the exact brand, model number and source record before comparing specifications. A similar retailer title is not enough to merge two products. Capacity, rated input, sound, room guidance, dimensions and weight remain attached to the model and to the document that supports them.
What our calculations mean
Room-capacity ranges, running costs and specification scores are CoolCompare calculations. We show their inputs, assumptions and limitations instead of presenting them as manufacturer facts, installation designs or guaranteed savings. Unknown values stay unknown and receive no invented substitute.
How pages earn publication
A page must answer a distinct decision, expose its evidence and offer a useful next step. Product pages require mandatory source fields. Guides need substantial original sections, source diversity and a current review date. Empty directories, thin location templates and unavailable commercial data are kept out of search indexing until their publication gate is satisfied.
Review and accountability
Material corrections change the reviewed date. Rule-based pages retain the relevant source date so a later grant, tariff or planning change does not silently rewrite an earlier scenario. Readers can submit evidence through the contact page; commercial partners do not receive priority over a documented correction.
