Confirm jurisdiction
Begin with the nation where the property is located. Do not carry an England and Wales rule into Scotland or Northern Ireland, and do not infer current eligibility from an old article headline.
Confirm system and applicant
Check the proposed technology, existing heating, applicant status, property requirements and installer route against the official scheme. An air-to-air, air-to-water and hybrid proposal may be treated differently.
Keep the quotation transparent
Ask for the full pre-grant price, the named grant line and the customer payment as separate figures. Additional electrical, building or emitter work should remain visible.
